1/2/2023 0 Comments Legends of runeterra newsIrelia: Quick Attack -> Quick Attack, Attune I’m looking forward to exploring this one. I don’t know whether this is enough to push the archetype to playable, but buffing all your Shark Chariots to 6/1’s and making Haunted Relic present 12 damage for two mana is a crazy power spike. Losing that buff is a huge difference in damage output, which made the deck’s win condition far too counterable.Īnd this is all despite the fact that the Ephemeral archetype inherently has major issues. However, it’s always been easy enough to deal with him pre-combat, or during combat. This may be my favorite change of the patch, and is a huge buff! Hecarim has always presented a powerful amount of stats on board, especially when leveled. > When I level up, grant Ephemeral allies everywhere +3|+0. By no means is this a death sentence Ezreal will still be good! Hecarim: Ephemeral allies have +3|+0. While Ezreal isn’t in the spotlight currently, I’m happy to see this preemptive change to help keep him in line. Eight targets reinforces the challenge and will create decision points whether you need to progress level-up, or risk running out of time. Six targets happens so naturally that trying to level-up Ezreal is rarely a consideration. (Previously 6)Īfter the change to the play/cast rules, it’s only inevitable that Ezreal would need to be looked at. This small change helps iron out any uncertainties. Having certain stat buffs not count towards level-up is confusing. Bard: Now counts units that buff their own stats. This wasn’t the case with the original Ashe, so this is a good quality of life change to eliminate those awkward edge cases. In cases where the only target was already frostbitten, you couldn’t get another trigger by attacking with Ashe. While changing Ashe’s level condition from Frostbite to “reduce power to 0” gave her new applications and potential, it didn’t function when the unit already had 0 power. Balance Changes Ashe: Now counts Power reduction on units that already have 0 Power. Indirect nerfs are nice as they don’t completely gut the cards, but bring them more in line. This is extremely relevant for champions like Viktor and Pantheon as it removes their ability to high roll Scout + Elusive. But even more importantly, Scout has been removed from the random keyword pool. We knew copied spells were going to be fixed after the play/cast change. These are some excellent changes to the game. Copied spells now count as being Played.Scout has been removed as a generated keyword.Hey all, it’s Trevor “Shugo” Yung here to give you my initial impressions of the brand new balance patch.
